ULTA Dual Action Cleansing System Review
While on a mini splurge inside of ulta, I stumbled upon the Ulta dual action cleansing system and was immediately interested in purchasing. I had always wanted a powered cleansing brush but most of the brushes I have seen cost anywhere between 100 through 300 dollars! Yikes! So, before purchasing this product I decided to do some more research on it. Overall the Ulta dual action cleansing system had pretty good reviews and a rating of 4 1/2 stars out of 5, so I went ahead and bought it willing to give it a try for myself.

How I use this product:
I begin by wetting my face and applying my facial cleanser. I like to do a quick scrub with my hands and then I use the cleansing tool with the sponge attachment until my face is lathered with suds. After completely rinsing my face with luke warm water, I then apply a facial moisturizer. A moisturizer is very much needed after using this tool, especially after exfoliating with the bristled brush head because it can really dry out your skin.
PROS
- Cordless
- Easy assembly
- Not annoyingly loud
- Convenient size..not too big and bulky
- Gets rid of any black heads
- Improved my skins texture and appearance significantly
- Very affordable price
CONS
- Not waterproof
- Only has one speed which is pretty much medium i'd say
- Only comes with a sponge attachment and soft-bristled brush head..not a variety for skin type or specific purpose like some of the other powered cleansing brushes
A few important tips:
- You MUST clean the attachment pieces after every use! They hold so much bacteria from each time you wash your face (especially the sponge) and I actually began breaking out from not cleaning them the right way! You can clean them by washing the attachments with baby shampoo, rinsing it off thoroughly, and letting them air dry. You can also from time to time dip a q-tip into some peroxide and swivel the q-ti[p between the brushes bristles, then rinse off and let air dry.
- NOT water proof. Do not run the body of the tool itself under water and do NOT bring into shower unless you know you will be able to keep the tool from getting water inside of it.
- I do not recommend using this every single day when you first start using it, as it might be too harsh on your skin and could cause a lot of dry patches and redness. Maybe start off using it 3 times a week, then work your way up.
- When using this tool, do NOT press down too hard on your face!
