DIY: Make-Up Organizer

DIY: Make-Up Organizer

Hi loves! I've been in the process of trying to get my make-up organization together and set up my vanity..I came up with the idea of making my own make-up organizer. It was fairly easy and the outcome is great! Obviously this does not fit all my make-up, but I thought it would be great for my lipsticks and mascaras, eyeliners, and brow pencils! You can use this for anything you would like to use it for though!

What you will need:
-Any kind of cardboard.
I used the cardboard packaging from a case of bottled waters. You could use cereal boxes!

-A base.
I used a fragrance box. Make sure you use something nice and sturdy.

-Scissors
-measuring tape
-decorative duck tape (purchased mine at Joanns)
-A pen or pencil to mark measurments
-Hot glue gun

Step One:  I began by measuring how wide the base of my make-up organizer was to see how wide my cardboard strips were going to have to be, and the height of my makeup organizer to see how tall I would have to make each cardboard divider. Measuring across was about 8 inches and the height was 2 inches, so I cut out piece of cardboard 8 inches wide and 2 inches tall. I only cut out 5 dividers, but you can do as many as you would like.

Step Two:  This step is pretty much optional. Using my decorative duck tape, I corvered the entire box and the dividers. You do not have to use decorative tape if you are using a box and cardboard that already have a design on it....orrrr if you just don't want to..lol. I just thought that this tape was so cute and really stood out.

Step Three:  Using a hot glue gun, I lined the bottom of each of my dividers and stuck them down into place. You can place your dividers wherever you want to! I have four rows for my lipsticks, then two other sections for my mascaras, eye liners, eyebrow pencils...etc!

TADAAAAA!

This was my finished product and I absolutely love it! I will definantly be making more soon. I hope that you enjoyed this simple DIY! Thank you :)
