DIY FLOWER CROWN
Music festival? Wedding? Or maybe just for a spring/summer accessory? Flower crowns are so beautiful whether made of faux or real flowers! There is no better way to wear a flower crown than to wear your very own that you made. This simple DIY will show you how to make your own crown step by step in just 20 minutes!
Things you'll need:
-hot glue gun
-floral wire
-fake flowers
-floral tape
I was able to get all of these supplies from Joanns for less than 20 dollars!
Step One: Using the floral wire, wrap it around your head to establish the size of your crown. I used three pieces of wire and braided them together to make it thick and sturdy. After you've measured your head and have bent your floral wire into circular shape, using your floral tape, bind both ends of the wire together by wrapping your floral tape around to hold it together. (I wrap floral tape around the whole wire crown because I find that it makes step 4 easier.)
Step Two: Pull off or cut off the head of the flower of the stem as close to the base of the flower as possible. Remove the leaves off the stem as well if you plan on using them on your crown.
Step Three: Let your glue gun heat up and start applying glue around the center bottom/base of the flower head. Do the same for the leaves if you plan to use any. I apply about a pea size of glue.
Step Four: Start sticking your flower(s) wherever you want to place them on your crown! Be sure to hold down the flower firmly (for AT LEAST 30 seconds) and blow on the hot glue while it is cooling down and drying.
With those four simple steps you've now got yourself your very own Flower crown! Hope you enjoyed this DIY!
